At Ink, we believe great businesses do more than serve customers. They serve their communities.
The work we do every day is built on relationships. Our customers trust us with their brands, our employees invest their talents in our mission, and our community supports the growth that allows us to do what we love. That is why giving back is not something we do when we have extra time. It is part of how we do business.
One of the ways we have recently lived that out is by participating in Serve the Rock Community Impact Day, an annual day of service that brings businesses together to support nonprofit organizations across Central Arkansas. On May 13, hundreds of volunteers spent the day completing hands on projects that helped local nonprofits improve their facilities and better serve the people who rely on them.
As the presenting sponsor, Ink was honored to provide the official event t-shirts, make a financial contribution, and send members of our own team into the community to serve alongside volunteers from other local businesses. It gave our employees the opportunity to work together in a different environment, build stronger relationships with one another, and see firsthand the impact that even a single day of service can make.
The numbers tell an impressive story. More than 250 volunteers from 98 companies came together to serve 12 nonprofit organizations throughout Central Arkansas. Together, they contributed 774 hours of volunteer service, creating an estimated community impact of more than $22,000 through volunteer labor alone.
But the real impact goes beyond the statistics.
When our employees have opportunities to serve, they return with a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper connection to both our company and our community. Working side by side outside the office strengthens relationships, encourages teamwork, and reminds us that success is measured by more than business results.
Our customers are part of that story too. Every order placed with Ink helps support a company that believes business can be a force for good. We are committed to investing in the communities where we live and work because thriving local businesses and thriving local communities go hand in hand.
Strong communities create stronger businesses. When nonprofits have the resources they need, families are supported, neighborhoods improve, and opportunities grow. That benefits everyone, from local organizations and businesses to the people who call Central Arkansas home.
We are grateful to the Little Rock Regional Chamber, the nonprofit partners, every volunteer, and every business that helped make Serve on the Rock a success. It was an inspiring reminder of what can happen when organizations come together with a shared purpose.
For us, community involvement is not a one day event or a box to check. It is part of our culture and one of the ways we strive to live out our values every day. Whether we are printing shirts for a fundraiser, supporting local nonprofits, or rolling up our sleeves to serve, we believe the strongest businesses are the ones that help strengthen the communities around them.
Because when our community succeeds, we all do.
